Vintage TEAC A-500 Dolby Cassette Deck - Fully Serviced - VERY NICE!

Teac A-500 Dolby Cassette Deck Built like a tank and meant to be 100% servicable. Another great TEAC deck. 4-solenoid operation for minimum parts. Simple, yes? Comes with my free-labor 2 year warranty. This one performs as it should in all respects. Nice Ferrite head lasts long and Teac gets the sound right. This nice, clean deck will look great in your rack. Service: More sticky lube than usual so a lot of tear down to get it right. Replaced all the rubber except the idler which is in excellent conditon. Looks barely used. Got my treatment anyway. Motor and capstan bearings oiled. Oddly the head was a little out, so a minor head alignment tweak. Speed set and W&F tested. Strong motor & massive flywheel = W&F below my measuring capacity. A complete electronic alignment was performed with expected usual tweaks here and there. Cosmetics: Looks great. It is used and shows SOME light wear. The plastic "glass" on the meters and door have very light marks. Can't really see them in the photos. Some "dots" on the VU's. Small ding along the upper edge just over the right VU.
